Thankful Thursday- Tag Pockets

Hi,

IMG_1476

So it’s week 2 of thankful Thursday and today I thought I would make something a little different.  I have a couple of tag pockets to share with you today.  I chose Whole lot of Lovely paper (well it is floral,  lol) and I do like a bit of floral. I took the same sheet of paper and cut out 2 sheets measuring 4″ x 6″ and scored on the long side at 2″ and on the short side at 1/2″ and 3 1/2″. On the longer side of the 2″ score line I removed this thin 1/2″ portion on both sides. I then took a knotch out of the smaller flap and  glued down to make the pocket.  I reversed the side I folded on the other piece of paper to give two different aspects from one sheet of dsp. I added a small amount of classic weave ribbon 3/8″ in soft sky and tied it in a knot with the gorgeous silver 1/8″ ribbon.

I then took my sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set and decided to use basic gray, I feel it’s nice and soft as apposed to momento black ink. I cut out the sentiment using the 1 3/8″ circle punch.  I took a scrap of soft sky and punched another circle this time using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. I added dimensionals and stuck the smaller circle in the middle. I added a couple of rhinestones to each side of the sentiment for a little sparkle.

The tag pocket when finished measures 3″x4″ and is ideal for putting a gift card in, or  if you do memory keeping and use the page protectors these will fit in the 3″x4″ slots in your spread. Hope you liked this project. Thanks for popping in.

Beautiful Bouquet meets Daisy 🌸

IMG_1515

Hi Everyone,

For today’s card I wanted to use up some of my delightful daisy dsp.  I went with the stitched shapes Thinlits die set and cut out a few squares in various sizes.  I love this paper design when paired with wisteria wonder so also cut out a square in wisteria wonder and a smaller one in whisper white for the sentiment.  I am making a card for a friends birthday and chose the sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet.  I stamped it in basic grey.  I then cut out a card front in whisper white to layer everything onto.  I used the matching Bouquet Bunch framelits dies set and cut some of the leaves in whisper white and whisteria wonder. I put these behind the sentiment making a focal point in the top left corner for a bit of texture.  One of the cluster of flower dies in this set, when punched, leave little tiny stars from the centres and I decided to add these as embellishments to the front, adding a little sparkle with wink of Stella clear.  I used the decorative ribbon border punch and punched a strip from the same daisy dsp and added this to the side.  When everything was stuck in place I chose a wisteria wonder card base to really make the colours pop.  Hope you enjoyed this project, thanks for popping in.  See you soon x

Stampin’Up! – Naturally Eclectic your the best

Hi,

IMG_1509

I have received my delivery this week of new goodies from the annual catalogue and chose the gorgeous naturally eclectic dsp.  I decided to use the gorgeous paper as a front for my card and matted it onto a piece of emerald envy, which picks out the colour in the dsp.  I also got the starburst punch and it layers really well with my existing circle punches. I took some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper and cut out a circle with the 1 3/4″ punch. The sentiment came from the label me pretty stamp set, I stamped it  in emerald envy ink and this fits perfectly into the 1 3/8″ punch. I layered them onto dimensionals and stuck to the center of my card front.  I love how this turned out, and hope you like it too. Thanks for popping in.

Thankful Thursday – Stampin’Up!

Hi everyone,

IMG_1498

So I really want to get into a routine of blogging regularly and have decided that every Thursday I will share a thankful project.  Either a card, gift box or tag made for someone as a Thankyou.  I hope you’ll join me on my little journey.  I am loving being able to create regularly and  sharing my projects, hoping that  you will find some inspiration for your own.  So today is the first thankful Thursday and I chose the stamp set One Big Meaning.  If you have seen any of my previous posts, you’ll have seen that I love to use a couple of colours for my projects keeping them quite simple (but hopefully elegant) 🙂

I  chose wisteria wonder and basic gray  for this card .  I love the combination.  The flower image I used was from the Beautiful bouquet set.   I stamped the inner part of the flower in momento black ink to give it a bit more of a pop and added a rhinestone to the center.  Thanks for popping in and hope to see you soon x

Stampin’Up!- Bundle of Love Wedding Card

Hi Everyone,

IMG_1474

Todays card is for a couple who are getting married in September.  I chose the gorgeous bundle of love with the gold foil, knowing this would be perfect.  I cut a piece of the paper for a card front and layered onto very vanilla cardstock.  I wanted to keep to a neutral colour palette and added it to a crumb cake card base. The I took the stitched shapes framelits dies and cut the larger of the squares in gold foil and a smaller one in very vanilla.

I put the sentiment on dimensionals to give the card some texture.  I chose the sentiment from Beautiful Boquet stamp set and stamped it in crumb cake. I wanted to also make the inside of this card pretty and did the same as the front, just using a size down of the squares. The sentiment is also from Beautiful Boquet and layered onto a piece of very vanilla.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and hoping that the happy couple will too. Thanks for popping in.
